Dès les premières heures de la mise en ligne de la vidéo "The next day", YouTube a suspendu la diffusion de ses écrans pour "violation de ses conditions d'utilisation". Avant de la rendre accessible à nouveau, avec une restriction pour les moins de 18 ans.
Dans ce clip on retrouve Marion Cotillard dans le rôle de la prostituée aux côtés du prêtre incarné par l'acteur britannique Gary Oldman. La comédienne française sera aussi bientôt à la une de l’actualité cinématographique, puisqu'elle est invitée à fouler le tapis rouge pour deux films ("Blood Ties" et "The Immigrants") au Festival du film de Cannes qui a lieu entre le 15 et 26 mai 2013.
Quant à David Bowie, celui que l'on surnomme "le caméléon de la musique" depuis longtemps pour ses adaptations aux modes et tendances, ne trahit pas sa réputation. Et les critiques vites retombées, l’icône du Royaume-uni reste au sommet. En témoigne la vente de son 24e album-studio intitulé "The next day", sorti en mars 2013, qui est actuellement numéro un dans de nombreux pays. Rien que pour la France, les ventes atteignent déjà plus de 90.000 exemplaires. La presse londonienne soulignait ces jours derniers: "Il est bon de savoir qu'à 66 ans, Bowie peut encore froisser quelques plumes".
