🎙️ Wanderlust Ice & Ink
By @sarahaerial.ice Sarah | Professional Figure Skater & Lifestyle Journalist | Creator of the Chronicle Wanderlust Ice & Ink As a multidisciplinary artist and writer, I merge the discipline of professional figure skating with the curiosity of a cultural observer. For me, performing and documenting are inseparable, two sides of the same creative identity. Over the past decade, my career has carried me across more than twenty-nine countries, from world arenas to cruise ships, allowing me to experience the world through movement, culture, and expression. Currently performing in the Caribbean aboard a cruise ship, I live at the intersection of two passions: the artistry of skating at sea, and the narrative power of journalism. When I step off the ice, my work continues through words, sound, and storytelling, capturing the anthropology of places, people, and performance. This podcast, Wanderlust Ice & Ink, is where these worlds come together. Each episode of Wanderlust Ice & Ink is built on a simple philosophy: to see life not only as a sequence of events, but as stories that reveal culture, history, and human creativity. I approach every subject, from the architecture of a city to the backstage energy of a show — with both the eye of a performer and the curiosity of a journalist. Through this lens, I aim to decode the cultural pulse of destinations, uncover the hidden language of fashion, and reflect on the role of art in shaping identity. The editorial series is divided into dedicated sections, offering different entry points for the culturally curious: Travel Series — Journeys and destinations told through History – Lifestyle – Travel – Art. Each story unfolds like a cultural map, combining research with lived experience, and often extended into YouTube visuals and Instagram reels. Life On Board — Behind the scenes of life at sea as a professional skater and journalist. This series captures shows, rehearsals, and creativity on board, but also the quieter rhythms of crew life and the unique microcosm of a ship traveling the world. Interviews — Conversations with creators, artists, and experts. These episodes present inspiring portraits, bringing forward voices that challenge, create, and inspire across different disciplines. Fashion & Culture — From couture runways to backstage conversations at Paris Fashion Week, this section explores fashion as both art and commentary. Beyond style, it examines culture as a living movement — whether through traditions, creative rebellions, or global trends. Editorial Journal — Narrative editorials and reflective essays, where a more personal voice comes through. Here, I blend journalistic authenticity with a Carrie Bradshaw touch, offering musings that are as introspective as they are observational. Review (Art & Critic) — Analyses of films, exhibitions, and artworks. These are not purely academic critiques, but explorations of what art reveals about society, time, and emotion. The focus is aesthetic and narrative, often more poetic than strictly critical. What ties all these sections together is a perspective that values connection: between performance and culture, between personal journey and collective history, between the spectacle of the stage and the intimacy of lived experience. As a fashion journalist, I attend events like Paris Fashion Week between tours, covering couture’s language, fashion subcultures, sustainability, and creative rebellion. As a traveler, I see destinations through architecture, traditions, and hidden gems. As a performer, I bring the visceral experience of movement, light, and stage to everything I document. Wanderlust Ice & Ink is so a chronicle of movement and meaning, of wanderlust that is both geographical and intellectual. It is for audience who wants to go deeper, into the stories behind fashion, the histories within travel, the artistry of performance, and the poetry of culture itself. 199 articles rédigés par cet auteur
